The project:
The bathroom received a complete aesthetic refresh without altering the layout. All surfaces were sanded and prepped, followed by new coats of Dulux paint suited to each material. Protected areas were covered, while metal fixtures were scratched down and finished with matte black spray paint for a modern touch. Attachments were upgraded, and a new vanity was installed, creating a brighter, cleaner, and more cohesive space with updated finishes and hardware.

No extensive power tools used, mainly just the ones listed above.
- Step 1:
Preparation — Remove all movable items, tape off areas, and thoroughly clean the space. Sand all surfaces (walls, tiles, metal fixtures) to ensure good adhesion
- Step 2:
Surface Repair & Priming — Fill any cracks/holes, repair damaged areas, and apply appropriate primer to walls, tiles, and metal surfaces. Allow appropriate time for primer to dry.
- Step 3:
Painting — Apply new coats of paint: fresh white/ neutral on upper walls and ceiling, and the chosen accent colour (e.g., deep green) on lower walls and shower area. Allow each section to dry appropriately before moving onto next phase.
- Step 4:
Metal Hardware Refresh — Cover over completed sections to prevent black paint overspray. Lightly sand existing taps, shower fittings, and handles, then apply multiple coats of matte black spray paint. Allow full curing time.Work in a well-ventilated area, wear appropriate PPE, and allow proper drying times between coats
- Step 5:
Floor Update — Clean tiles thoroughly and paint or apply new border tiles/strip in the accent colour (green) around the floor perimeter.
- Step 6:
Shower and bath fittings upgrade — Install a new modern black coloured bathroom fittings. Ensure mains water supply has been turned off and seal with appropriate silicone filler.
- Step 7:
Vanity Replacement — Remove the old vanity and install the new wooden vanity with integrated basin and matte black tapware. Will need help from a licensed plumber to complete fitting for insurance compliance.
- Step 8:
Final Touches — Re-seal all joints with matching silicone, reinstall accessories, clean thoroughly, and add new towel racks.
