The project:

This path is on the dead side of the house and is prone to growing lots of weeds. it needed clearing up with no possibility of the weeds returning and no muddy paws for the dogs to be brought inside.

- Materials:

Various decorative pots and plants

- Step 1:

Measured the weed mat and cut to size.

- Step 2:

Laid down the weed mat using the mat pins with a hammer

- Step 3:

Used click and collect to purchase 45+ bags of the pink chips. As an older lady, this had to be done in stages as

they were very heavy to carry. I ended up going to 8 different stores to be able to complete my project.

- Step 4:

Then raked the stone chips to create an even, walkable path.

- Step 5:

Then added decorative pots with plants that would survive with morning sun only.

Thank you for sharing your project. It is a simple project, but there's a whole lot of work involved bringing in all that material. I am sure your hard work will pay dividends in the future with a huge reduction in maintenance with pesky weeds and muddy paw prints.

The stones look fantastic and I'm sure you plants will grow in nicely and make it look even nicer as time goes on.
