The project:
We had an alcove in the laundry, and no where to hang coats and put shoes. ( Shoes have still become an bit of an overspill )
I had some Sheeting from Bunnings that I had purchased a few years ago in clearence.
I also had purchased a shoe draw that used to sit in the hallway. So now I decided, since I was making over the laundry, I would put this all into action.

- Step 1:
Designed the Layout.
I was determined to fit the shoe cabinet somewhere, as well
As the cloats only needed so much height. I devided the space up into Draw for dog food and bits at the bottom.
The mid area Coats would hang
The Upper cupboard would house stuff.
You always need a place to put stuff, what ever it turns out to be.
- Step 2:
Cut a hole into the wall where the downstair toilet abutted the space.
This is where I would place the shoe draws.
Once I had done that, I backed it with chipboard, and sealed it in.
This created a cavity above the Show draws, but that was where I put two medicine draws
I sealed everything with more gaps, where needed.
Battened out an area at the lower area of what would be come the cupboard. Put in a shelf.
Below this would be the draw area. I did the same at the upper area of the cupboard. This would be come the upper cupboard.
Then I framed the the spaces to create the frames onto which i would place the doors once I had made them.
Having done that, I cut doors out of Form ply, Masked up and sanded one side, so the contact would stick.
I then cut the aluminium sheet to the doors sizes, and glued them together.
After that was done, I cut Aluminium angle to edge the door in, and screwed them to the doors.
Attached Hinges, and attached them to the frames. and Cupboards where made.
Attached magnetic catches, and handles.
Then I set about making the Draws. 1 large one for the bottom, and 2 small ones for the side.
Once this had been assembled, it was time to sand and paint the walls, and make it look professional..I achieved the professional look by turning off the light and never looking at it again..
