Boy's bedroom makeover with VJ panels

The project:

We wanted to give our 5 year old son’s bedroom a complete makeover and wanted to make it bold and colourful!! All the materials we used were from Bunnings except for wallpaper. Such an easy DIY project but the results were amazing.

- Materials:

Dulux paint in the colour “Signature”

Liquid Nails

- Tools:

- Step 1:

Nailed the 66mm skirting to the wall using liquid nails and nail gun

Nailed the VJ panels to wall on top of skirting using liquid nails and nail gun

Nailed moulding on on wall on top of VJ panels using liquid nails and nail gun

Nailed the 31mm skirting on top of the moulding using liquid nail and nail gun

Primed and painted the VJ panels and also all the skirtings and moulding

Hung wallpaper to the walls

and that’s it! :)

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @casawest, it is fantastic to have you join us.

This is such a fun makeover for a five-year-old’s room. The bold blue panelling gives the space plenty of personality, and the wallpaper adds even more colour without making it feel too busy.

The layered skirting and moulding detail above the VJ panelling is a clever touch and gives the wall a much more finished look.

It’s a fantastic project that I am sure your boy loves.
