The project:
I completed this DIY kitchen Reno to modernise our old dark oak pine kitchen to a fresh Antique white.Aside from the stick on tiles everything was purchased from my local Bunnings.This project took me over 8 mths to complete.
My Step-by-Step Process:Preparation: Deep cleaned every surface, removed all the cabinet doors, and meticulously taped up the edges.
Sanding & Safety: Sanded back the old timber finish completely to create a smooth, clean base.
Priming: Applied high-quality Zinsser Smart Prime undercoat to seal the pine and effectively block any wood knots or heavy grains from bleeding through.
Painting Cabinets: Finished the cabinets with three solid top coats of hard-wearing Dulux Aquanamel, tinted to the classic warm tone of Antique White U.S.A.
Walls: Painted over the dark feature wall sections with specialized Dulux Wash&Wear +PLUS Kitchen & Bathroom paint to match the bright new layout.
Finishing Touches: Swapped out the old handles for sleek new hardware and finished off the splashback with fresh new sticker tiles

120-grit 180-grit and 240-grit Flexovit sanding papers for stripping back the original oak and pine surfaces

UNi-PRO 100mm Little Ripper Mohair Roller Covers (with Mohair Refills for applying the enamel cabinet paint smoothly)

White kings squirts paint and primer flat black for range hood.
Triceanium 1kg all purpose cleaner (found this product better than sugar soap to lift grime)
Lane 115mm black Hampton handles( for hardware)
Diggers white spirits ( to wipe over timber once sanded)
