Ensuite makeover using VJ panels

The project:

A leaking toilet that turned into an unintentional ensuite renovation! By adding vj lining as a dado it created lots of texture and fitted the vibe i wanted. I kept the vanity cabinet and replaced the top and taps, added some black accents and painted. I also replaced the vinyl floor with tiles & replaced the toilet. I made the hardwood shelf, rounding the edges for a plant shelf and recycled some old decking to make the bathroom bench

- Step 1:

Original ensuite pre water leak from toilet

- Step 2:

Toilet removed, floor boards and damaged plaster replaced, cement sheet down

- Step 3:

VJ lining installed and painted, waterproofing complete and tiles laid by a professional

What a beautiful ensuite transformation, @Dani64. The soft sage colour on the VJ panelling gives the room such a calm, welcoming feel, while the patterned floor tiles add plenty of character and work beautifully with the black fixtures.

Keeping the existing vanity and updating the top, tapware and hardware was a smart way to refresh the space, and the handmade hardwood shelf and recycled decking bench add some lovely personal touches. What started with a leaking toilet has turned into a very stylish and cohesive renovation.
