The project:
Existing kitchen was all very cream and needed a colour boost. The dining area had no built in storage and was just a dumping ground for mess. Painted the whole kitchen & dining area a gorgeous warm green, and built new buffet/pantry/coffee bar from kaboodle (designed myself and built with my step-dad) perfectly matching existing kitchen. Such a massive functional change and feel.

Kaboodle cabinetry in Heritage profile, antique white. (Shout out to the kitchen team at Waurn Ponds!)
Honeywood bench top.
Dulux paint in Olive Leaf.

- Step 1:
Cleaned and painted all walls
- Step 2:
Built pantry section and placed roughly in place
- Step 3:
Built the base cabine, two overhead cabinets, wine rack and drawers.
- Step 4:
Measured up and fixed supporting wall strips to studs for fixing for overhead cabinets (used off cuts of merbau from another project). Fixed pantry and base cabinets into place. Fitted drawers (maybe would have done this later in hindsight).
- Step 5:
Fixed left overhead cabinet to pantry. Fixed wine rack to right overhead cabinet. Slid in and fixed right cabinet to left. Both fixed to the back bracing wall strips.

Fitted kickboard and fixed hardware

Fitted, glued and siliconed benchtop

Filled and decorated!
