The project:
My Halloween skeleton was looking a little too white and clean and I wanted to give it a spooky realistic look.
I used leftover Bunnings supplies from other projects to complete the transformation.

- Step 1:
I used an old paint brush and a deck oil to stain the skeleton all over. The first photo is the Before picture.
- Step 2:
For a darker look I waited for the first coat to dry and then did another coat of deck stain.
- Step 3:
Next I wrapped the skeleton in cling wrap
- Step 4:
I used a heat gun to shrink the cling wrap onto the skeleton to look like aged skin.
- Step 5:
I did another layer of deck stain on the cling wrap and on different parts of the skeleton for a less uniform look. I ended up doing another layer of cling wrap and repeating the process to add more dimension.
- Step 6:
For more depth and character I decided to use some leftover black spray paint to give it an even older/slightly charred look, and I’m very happy with the finished product! Especially because I used products I already had. Mr Bones is all set for my Halloween party💀🎃
