Side gate replacement using Ekodeck

The project:

New side gate to replace the old rundown gate. Hopefully the new gate increases some street appeal for the sale of our home.

- Materials:

Ekodeck Screen Panels
Framing timber
Timber posts
Concrete
Screws
Gate hinges and latches

- Tools:

Ryobi Cordless drill
Ryobi hammer drill
Dewalt jigsaw
Stanley level
Stanley saw
Sidchrome ratchet set

- Step 1:

Take out old gate

- Step 2:

Dig holes and install new posts with quick set concrete. Secure post to wall with dynobolts

- Step 3:

Build Frame for gate

- Step 4:

Cut Ekodeck screens to size and screw Ekodeck screens to frame

- Step 5:

Level gate hinges and attach to frame

- Step 6:

Lift frame/panels onto posts and hinges

- Step 7:

install latch and drop bolt
