Our new homes office desperately needed a revamp. The large old built in cupboards were unnecessarily large and dark. Creating custom shelving added at least one to two feet to the space. We also needed to cover the new heater air intake vent, hiding it inside the lower cupboard was a great solution. Once all built we had to find a way to hide the old markings on the ceiling. A panel, trim and bulkhead solved this wonderfully. We will be adding feature lighting in future.
A clever way to make the office feel larger while adding plenty of practical storage, @Meru. Hiding the air intake within the lower cabinetry and using the bulkhead to cover the old ceiling marks are particularly neat solutions.
