Does 1800mm long clothing rod need a centre support?

Does anyone knows if I need a pillar centre in the middle when installing this clothing rod in order to support the weight of the clothes? It's 1800mm long, I am not sure whether it's strong enough without bending. I'm going to replace old one in the wardrobe.

Hi @reno-abc,

Generally speaking, hanging rods should not span more than about 1.2m without support, so yes, you would need a centre support. This is especially true when they are being used to hang clothing as the weight can add up quickly.
