Replacement deck using composite Ekodeck boards

The project:

Removed a deck and the foundations and replaced all the beams and installed Ecko Decking purchased from Bunnings and all the materials and tools from Bunnings.

- Materials:

Ecko Decking

Timber beams

- Tools:

Ryobi drill

Ryobi jigsaw

Ryobi sander

- Step 1:

• Measure everything up draw up plans, used Bunnings website to order Ecko Decking and had it delivered. Then picked up joist and beam timber from Bunnings. Purchased Ryobi tools from Bunnings.
• Lift and disposed of existing decking boards, Removed existing joists, Removed existing bearers (beams). The brick posts were still in good coniddtion. Just needed new terminate caps - which we got from Bunnings
  Installed bearers (main beams) and installed joists.
• Installed noggins between joists and consistently checked frame was square and level.
• Started laying Ekodeck making sure they were perfectly straight.
• Installed fixing clips.
• Continue laying remaining boards constantly checking gaps.
• Installed breaker boards then Installed fascia boards.
• Install stair treads.
  Cleaned up and put furniture back then very proudly enjoyed our new deck.

Replacing the entire subframe as well as the decking boards is no small undertaking, and the finished result looks fantastic. The Ekodeck boards give the deck a clean, modern finish.
