The project:
I fell in love with this big country kitchen when we bought our house, but the timber cabinet doors were very tired and the laminex benchtop was outdated. We had a very small budget to work with so painted all of the cabinetry with Dulux renovation range, we wanted to bring the cost of our benchtop down as well as having a feature so we decided to hire a tile saw from Bunnings to do a mitred edge tiled bench, using discounted tiles. 2 days of cutting 140x tiles with a mitred edges as a SAHM with 3 kids under 6yo :D
So happy with the results, so much hard work paid off. Reusing as much as possible, vinyl wrapping the oven etc, weve painted everything head to toe, including spray painting powerpoints and window frames and removing the old colonial window bars with scrapers and de-solve it!
Needless to say we are at bunnings several times a week!

- Step 1:
Started by removing all doors and hardware for thorough clean, and followed the recommended steps
- Step 2:
Built the frame for the tile bench, fc sheeting and then tiled all the centre tiles. Once we had the tile saw hired we completed all of the edges and grouted.
