The project:
We bought our home with an outdated frontage, mudroom/porch & an overgrown side garden. It needed lots of love. Once our home was painted, the tiling began. Colour, retro, funky quirk, was my vision. Hubby Rob, the muscles in our team, created the most perfect colourful magical retro styled, extended front porch & entrance. On line tiles were bought & mixed in with Bunnings tiles, screen panel, DIY’d into a retro side panel, front door, painted pink, pot pants, DIY’d into pink hanging bells. I’m still smiling

- Step 1:
Bought the tiles
Cleared the vegetation & roughed out the required size of the extended side of the soon to be porch
Formed it up with wood
Used the cement mixer & Concreted
Tiled in the tiles using spacers
Grouted & siliconed around the edges
Added the screen from Bunnings diy’ing into a retro side panel at the end of the porch
Created a retaining wall out of cement
Created a small step to go down to the porch extension
Painted pots, planted plants
Created some hanging bells out of pot plants, painting them pink & installing xmas bells into them to make them look ‘real’
Added an amazing retro find off fb marketplace, an old cinema awning from Sawtell, on the NSW mid north coast, that we patched up
