The project:
Originally the walls were different shades of blue paint, and flooring was damaged dark grey lyno. The walls and kitchen island were repaired, prepped and painted. Flooring ripped up, hybrid flooring placed and finished with new skirting.
- Materials:
Sugar soap, Rapid gap filler, natural white paint.
Hybrid flooring, skirting boards, liquid nails, Floor trim
- Tools:
Paint scraper, sponge, Sand paper, masking tape, paint brushes, paint rollers, canvas drop sheet, paint tray, paint cup, paint mixer.
Stanley knife, hybrid flooring installation kit, hammer, rubber mallet, mitre box and saw, sawhorse, liquid nail gun, sand bag weights, knee pads.
- Step 1:
Sugar soaped walls. Repaired all damages in walls and kitchen island with plaster. Sanded. Removed power point covers, placed masking tape around kitchen bench top.
- Step 2:
Cut in from cornice, rolled walls. Repeat 3 times.
- Step 3:
Removed damaged lyno flooring. Vaccum and cleaned slab. Installed hybrid flooring interlocking pieces together, cutting to size.
- Step 4:
Painted, and cut skirting to size. Adhered with liquid nails, held in place with weights, filled minor gaps with plaster, painted plaster.
- Step 5:
Cut and installed floor trim under doorways and windows
