The project:

I couldn’t find any furniture I like to go with the new bed I was purchasing, so I stripped back my original pieces and stained them and added new hardware.

- Materials:

Sandpaper, Cabot’s stain and clear stain

- Tools:

Sander

- Step 1:

I started sanding one drawer

- Step 2:

And had to complete the project, whether I was happy with the end result or not.

- Step 3:

The project took me 6 months but I was extremely happy with the end results.

Stripping back and refinishing your existing furniture was a great way to create pieces that suited the new bed. The stain and updated hardware have given them a fresh look, and your patience over the six-month project certainly paid off.
