The project:
Outdoor chair seats became unusable after being in the sun and attacked by animals. I decided to upgrade the chairs with strips of Ekodeck. After removing surface rust with a wire brush, I gave the frame two coats of epoxy paint. I cut the Ekodeck into appropriate lengths, fixed the base strips with galvanised bolts and the back strips with the epoxy coated copper saddles and self tapping screws.

Ryobi ONE 18V drill with 6mm drill bit and Phillips driver bit.

- Step 1:
Remove existing chair webbing
- Step 2:
Rub down frame with wire brush to remove surface rust and painted frame with epoxy paint
- Step 3:
Cut Ekodeck into appropriate lengths.
- Step 4:
Drilled frame and lengths of Ekodek.
- Step 5:
Fixed seat strips with galvanised bolts and nuts.
- Step 6:
Fixed back strips with 10mm self-tapping screws and copper saddles.
