The project:
the project was renovating our little granny flat for my mother who has mnd. I specifically designed the kitchen for a person in a wheelchair in mind, hence the space between cabinets.
- Materials:
Kaboodle antique white country profile cabinets, drawers and blind corner pantry, end pannels, kickboards, filler panels. Kaboodle hingers, drawer runners soft close.
Specrite merbau pannels 900 wide and 600 wide
T master Matt black handles.

- Step 1:
constructed all the base cabinets, put into place ensuring they were level.
- Step 2:
attached the kickboards and filler pannels, then fixed cabinet to walls
- Step 3:
attached all doors and drawer fronts and end panels
- Step 4:
temporarily fit bench tops to cut to size and cut out sink and cooktop hole
- Step 5:
wrapped island bench in hardwood and hardwood kickboards (higher than normal for wheelchair)
- Step 6:
plumber and electrician fixed off appliances
- Step 7:
tiles splash backs
- Step 8:
grouting splash back
- Step 9:
cleaned!
