The project:
Transformed a bland front lawn into a beautiful, low-maintenance native garden that enhances the home's street appeal and supports local wildlife. Features include drought-tolerant native planting, a meandering concrete paved pathway, treated pine sleeper feature, rainwater tank, pond, bird bath, decorative garden arch, as well as a treated pine deck with privacy screen, creating a welcoming outdoor living space. The result is a sustainable, attractive front garden that provides a peaceful oasis for native birds while reducing ongoing maintenance and water use.

- Step 1:
Planned garden - vision for completed project
Spray out lawn with glyphosate - left for two weeks
Removed built letterbox
- Step 2:
Marked out deck, garden and pathways, removing dead grass, levelled and compacted soil in preparation for paving and decking
- Step 3:
Installed water tank and built deck, also installing privacy screen
- Step 4:
Lay paving and railway sleepers. Filled gaps between pavers with blue chip metal dust.
