There seems to be a gap in the furniture market when findng a record stand that was cost effective, practical and asthetically pleasing. After countless website searching it was evident that I was going to need to build something from scratch that was suitable for my frequent record playing needs but also had plenty of storage for future albums to be added to my collection.

Gather your materials and do a quick sketch of how long and wide you would like your stand to be. For this project I wanted something that was going to be able to fit my record stand ontop and leave enough of a gap for my records to sit next to it. I wanted a shelf for the amplifier to sit underneath. You could stop here and add the legs but considering I wanted additional options to store some records I made an additional shelf big enough to fit the height of the records.
After you have marked out your wood start cutting and follow up with a sand to smooth out the edges.
Once cut, nail the pieces together. I started with the first shelf, and then did the serperate shelf. I then added the two pieces together by nailing it together with my bosch drill.
Attach the legs to the woodern piece. There you have it!
