Kitchen paint transformation using Porter's River Stone

The project:

I wanted to change the colour scheme of my kitchen without doing a full renovation. I decided to paint/remodel the kitchen cabinets and benchtops on a budget.

- Step 1:

Step 1. Removed all laminate and cleaned all surfaces using Tricleanium

- Step 2:

Step 2 changed the look of cabinetry under the sink and around the oven by filling the carved sections with gyprock multipurpose joint compound filler. These were all sanded back ready for painting. 

- Step 3:

Step 3. Painted all bench tops with rustoleum counter top kit. 

- Step 4:

Step 4. Painted all cupboards and drawers using porters river stone paint. Any cabinets that were removed for sanding and painting were re-fitted and handles were replaced with taskmaster Brushed Brass Square Handles. 

- Step 5:

Step 5. SpecRite black oak timber panel was installed as a feature on the front of the island bench and pantry.

I absolutely love the Porter's River Stone paint you've chosen for your doors! It pairs beautifully with the crisp white benchtops, brushed brass handles and black acoustic panels, creating a modern, sophisticated kitchen that feels fresh and welcoming. It's hard to believe this was achieved without a full renovation, the transformation is remarkable, and you've shown just how much impact thoughtful updates can have.

Thanks for sharing the progress photos too; it's fantastic to see the journey from the original kitchen to such a stylish finished space.
