Timber kitchen makeover to vivid white

The project:

This project I refinished an outdated timber kitchen. transforming it from dated brown to a fresh and modern vivid white.

- Materials:

Selleys Sugar soap to thoroughly clean the entire kitchen and remove grease, grime and years of built up dirt.

dulux max adhesion primer to ensure the substrate was ready to accept paint.

Dulux Semi Gloss, vivid white - 2 coats.

New hardware - sourced online.

- Tools:

Painters tape

paint brushes

rollers

paint trays

drop sheets

primer

paint

drills to remove hinges and screws

- Step 1:

Prep - selleys sugar soap

Prime - dulux max adhesion ( purple)

Paint - dulux semi gloss. Vivid white

Reinstall doors - ryobi drill

install hardware

What a difference a fresh coat of paint has made. The shift from the original timber finish to crisp Vivid White has completely modernised the space, and the new hardware is the perfect finishing touch. It's a great example of how an affordable makeover can have a big impact.
