The project:
Our daughter’s room was already purple, but it didn’t feel very kid-friendly. For her fourth birthday, we gave it a fun makeover using Bunnings paint, adding a scalloped design to bring in a playful, kindy-approved vibe. It’s now bright, happy, and feels like her space. Such a simple change, but it made the room feel completely new (and way more fun).
- Materials:
Dulux Wash and wear paint

- Step 1:
Sanded, patched, primed and painted the whole room white using lime white quarter (2 coats)
- Step 2:
To do the scalloped design, we used a napisan lid as the template and lined it up perfectly on the wall using the laser level.
- Step 3:
Once the template was done I painted the scallops using a craft brush and then rolled the majority of the colour on. We chose the shade vision by Dulux 2 coats here and we were done!
