Bedroom makeover with Easycraft panelling

The project:

bedroom feature wall using EasyCraft panels

- Materials:

EasyCraft Silhouette Channel 25
Gyprock Stud adhesive
Timber mate wood filler in black
British paints in Black Ace

- Tools:

Tracksaw

Nail Gun

Paint spray gun

- Step 1:

with this particular profile of panelling I think it was easier to paint before it goes on the wall using a spray gun. I did two coats allowed it to dry.

- Step 2:

once it was dry the next step was to measure your wall panel by panel as not all flooring is even and you want to make sure it fits properly and cut using a track saw for a nice even cut

- Step 3:

to adhere the panelling to the wall I like to use stud adhesive and then nails also

- Step 4:

once you’ve nailed need to cover them I decided to use the timber the black colouring. Once that dried I then sanded for a smooth and flush finish.

- Step 5:

Final coat of paint using sprayer

This feature wall has turned out beautifully and makes such a striking focal point for the bedroom. The black Easycraft VJ panels add wonderful depth and texture, while the soft furnishings keep the space feeling warm, calm and inviting. I really enjoyed seeing the assembly progress photos, they give a great insight into the care and planning that went into every stage, from spraying the panels before installation to the precise cutting, filling and finishing. Your tip about measuring each panel individually is especially helpful and will be invaluable for anyone tackling a similar project. The crisp finish and seamless joins are a real credit to your attention to detail, and the completed room has a polished, designer feel.
