The fan is working but not the light - Is it possible to change the light only? If not, is the following product comparable in terms of size as the ceiling was cut 290cm to fit Deta Martec 295mm 17W White Saturn Round Exhaust Fan With Light?

Unfortunately, the LED light in the Deta 250mm Side Ducted Exhaust Fan With Light isn't a replaceable globe. If the light has failed, the entire unit will need to be replaced.
The unit is covered by a 12-month warranty from the manufacturer. Outside of that, if the light and unit have failed in what you believe is an unreasonable amount of time, I'd recommend speaking with the manager at the Bunnings store where it was purchased to discuss what options may be available.
In terms of a replacement, the Martec 295mm 17W White Saturn Round Exhaust Fan With Light uses a 295mm ceiling cut-out, so if your current opening is around 290mm, you may need to enlarge it slightly for the new unit to fit.

It is worth remembering that the expected life of an LED light is measured (usually) in the thousands of hours, heck even the old incandescent light bulbs had to last for 2000 hours. I once calculated that there were some in my house such as toilet and bathroom would probably not need replacing in my life time!
the exhaust fan was bought 2 years ago however i don't have the receipt anymore. Is it worthwhile contact Bunnings store ?
Yes, check back on your bank statements and find the purchase and the bunnings manager can find the transaction and do a reprint of the receipt. your return comes under statutory warranty and not the manufacturers/Bunnings limited warranty.
At the store of purchase, they can help you locate your receipt. If you can provide some details, like the approximate date it was purchased and by what method, they can typically track down and reprint your receipt. Mitchell
