The project:
Dad always says his greatest crew is the one he raised. With only daughters, he's made it his mission to teach me everything he knows, from swinging a hammer to measuring twice and cutting once. You'll rarely catch him without his trusty Bunnings Trade T-shirt, he loves Bunnings and was so excited I was posting this! Together with my fiancé, we're taking on our completely original 1940s kitchen ourselves. We've survived the demolition, and now the real challenge begins: building our dream kitchen from the ground up. It's hard work, but with Dad on the tools, anything is possible!

We haven't built the kitchen yet, but with your help, we can get more of the things we need for the project!
- Tools:
I have attached an image of all the tools we are using there's SO many! Everything is from Bunnings (from dad's shed). Plus we bought some gloves, brooms etc.
- Step 1:
Got all the tools (from dad's sheds and Bunnings) and put them all in a big pile to figure out what we would need for each job.
- Step 2:
Climbed into the ceiling to figure out which parts of the kitchen were structural (including the stove) so we knew what we could demo.
- Step 3:
Started by taking off all the doors of the kitchen cabinets, to save some of the wood for other projects. And started smashing the cupboards and cleaning as we go (of course).
- Step 4:
Started removing the tiles from the stove area, to remove the electric stove (which was siliconed into place).
- Step 5:
Removed all the benches, sink and all the wall cabinets.
- Step 6:
Finally removed the lino kitchen floor, to reveal a beautiful wood floor!
