How to fill cavity after installing smaller oven?

Hi all, first time posting and would love some ideas on how to fill the gaps!

The original cavity is for an old Ilve 90cm oven that came with the house when we bought it. We brought our 60cm Asko steam oven with us when we moved and would like to put in the same cavity. What can we do to elevate the oven and fill in the gaps? The measurements are in cm.

If you are getting a cabinet maker in (and I would if it was mine), consider remaking the cabinet completely as you could add a cupboard either side of the oven and a pan drawer below.

From the dimensions you've shared, your existing opening is large enough to accommodate the manufacturer's minimum cavity requirements. The manufacturer specifies a minimum enclosure of 560-568mm wide, 550mm deep and 450mm high.

The next step would be to construct a cabinet or enclosure to those dimensions within your existing opening. The oven can then be installed into that enclosure exactly as specified by the manufacturer. Once that's done, you can fit trim or infill panels around the outside to neatly cover the remaining gaps between the new enclosure and the existing cabinetry. This will give the finished installation a much more integrated appearance while still complying with the manufacturer's clearance and ventilation requirements.

If you're not experienced with cabinetmaking, I'd still recommend having a cabinet maker build the enclosure. They'll be familiar with working to the manufacturer's specifications and can ensure the oven is properly supported, ventilated and finished neatly.
