I would appreciate any advise on how a cracked glass on a wooden door can be replaced and where I can buy a similar translucent glass. Picture attached.

Thank you for sharing your question about the glass panel on your door. The first step I would suggest is to make the glass panel safe. I recommend putting on https://www.bunnings.com.au/wrap-move-48mm-x-50m-clear-packaging-tape-with-handheld-dispenser-2-pack_p0372479 on the front and back of the glass panel. This will temporarily prevent the glass from falling apart and causing injury. Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles.
The second step is to take a photo of the glass panel that is not broken. I then suggest doing a bit of a search on the internet for local glaziers in your area. You can email them the picture of the glass and see which one of them can provide the same profile glass and a removal and installation service. If they don't provide such a service, I suggest posting the job on either Hipages or Airtasker.
Due to the exacting nature of the repair, I suggest engaging the services of a professional as any mistake in glass sizing and installation can prove costly. I don't commend doing this as a D.I.Y repair.
However, to give you an idea of the repair steps, the timber trim surrounding the glass will need to be removed carefully as it needs to be recycled later on. The glass will then need to be removed. The broken glass will serve as a template for the new glass. Most glaziers will carry a larger piece of the repair glass panel and trim it on site for a perfect fit. Once the glass is cut it is then refitted into the original slot and the timber trim re-installed. Whether there is a silicone sealer in place can only be determined once the trim has been removed.
