How to repair water damage on bathroom vanity drawers?

Any quick makeover suggestions for these bathroom vanity drawers? Tenants were not careful and they have been exposed to water spray, especially weathered on the top edges of each drawer. Is that top strip of laminate available as a replacement at Bunnings?

Carefully remove the damaged edging, then allow the drawer fronts to dry completely. Lightly sand the edges flat and clean away any dust. Cut the new edging slightly overlength, position it over the edge and apply it with a household iron according to the product instructions. Press it firmly with a timber block while the adhesive cools, then carefully trim the excess with a sharp retractable knife. Remember to wear cut-resistant gloves and safety glasses.

If the particleboard/MDF beneath has swollen or become soft and crumbly, new edging might not adhere reliably. In that case, replacing the affected drawer fronts would provide a longer-lasting repair.
