Hi,
This is an old Caroma dual flush cistern, installed around 1999. The big flush button has worn out. What are my options?
A) Are the buttons replacable?
B) Replace the outlet valve? Which part is available?
C) Any suggestions?
Thanks
Shaun
Hello @Shaun.A
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet cistern.
Please note that plumbing work needs to be completed by a licensed professional for safety and compliance. Any changes that involve moving or reconfiguring pipework would be considered regulated plumbing work and would need to be carried out by a licensed plumber.
I'm sorry to hear that the flush buttons have given way. I propose contacting the Spare Parts Team on 1800 772 737 or filling the form on the Bunnings Spare Parts Page. The spare parts team will try to track down the part you need for your toilet. You can also go to your local store and speak to the special orders team and show them a picture of the flush buttons. In regard to the flushing mechanisms inside the cistern, I suggest speaking to your plumber about the condition of your flushing and inlet valve.
Should you decide to fully upgrade your toilet suite, I suggest checking out the stores Toilet Installation Service. Especially if you are looking for a professional to install your toilet suite.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
