How to increase Matador Ignite barbecue temperature?

Hi there,

I’ve recently moved into a new house and was lucky to have a matador ignite+ 4 burner included in the house. However when I finally got to fire it up it’s not exceeding temperatures of 175’C. It recently was converted to natural gas (after countless emails to the real estate) but moving forward how can I get this resolved as it just took about 40 mins to cook some kebabs thanks in advance!!

thanks so much for the help!! Found out the original plumber didn’t change the injectors over on the rear burner or the main burners so while the 1.09mm injectors are fine for lpg bottles but they restrict flow on the natural gas line. So got the injectors changed over to 1.6mm ones and that greatly improved everything so got the proper burn off done and now ready to really start cooking!!

Please note that any changes that involve moving or reconfiguring gas fittings or gas pipework would be considered regulated work and would need to be carried out by a licensed gas fitter.

It's great that you have received excellent advice from @R4addZ. I agree with his suggestion, and that is to engage the services of a gas fitter as they will be able to diagnose if there is anything wrong with the outlet or the type of gas being used for your BBQ. If after the assessment it turns out that the BBQ is at fault, it's worth contacting Matador to get some trouble shooting steps in order to get the BBQ working properly.
