What thickness to render a brick wall and concrete beam?

Hi all. I have a new masonry block wall (Adbri Versaloc) and concrete drop edge beam to render. When using the Dunlop Acrylic render, will a single 4mm coat be strong enough?

According to the render guide - How To Render, it is not necessary to apply mesh on the render.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

As per the Dunlop Multipurpose Acrylic Render datasheet, it can be applied at 2–10mm thick in a single application, so a 4mm coat should be fine.

Just keep in mind, if the concrete is new, it should be allowed to cure for 28 days before rendering. Dry or porous surfaces should also be lightly dampened before application, and porous concrete should be primed.
