How to mount a mirror on tile (hollow wall)?

Question

Hi, I have drilled 4 holes in my tile to suit the anchors that came with the mirror however as it’s hollow behind they are not working and just spinning

can someone please assist which ones are should be buying….. would need 6mm to suit my holes. Thanks

Thanks for that @R4addZ. I'd agree that the Hollow Wall Anchors would not be the best choice. Also, the spring and toggle fixings you've suggested would indeed be a great choice.

Just checked out the fixings suggested by @JacobZ and unfortunately they are not suitable for your situation. The cavity fixings have two issues (one in the case of the plastic one) the depth of the wall is allowed for by the smooth shank before the expandable part starts With the plastic one the expandable part begins almost immediately and if it expands within the tile, it could crack the tile. The shank of the metal ones is made the length it is to just go through the plasterboard and so with the additional thickness of the tile will expand within the plasterboard. However this is where the second issue comes into play as you won't be able to expand the fitting as it is designed to bite into the plasterboard to stop it rotating while you screw the screw in and the teeth on the fixings will not gain purchase on the tile surface. My best suggestion would be these or these but it will be a bit fiddly putting it up as the fixings will need to be installed into the frame before offering it up to the wall.

Can you tell us the weight and dimensions of the mirror?Please include height width and depth/thickness, Where are the screws located,in the corners or elsewhere?
