How to mount mirror on plasterboard wall?

Hi all,

I just got this mirror from Kmart and I want to mount it on the wall. I already have 2 nails from my previous mirror as shown in the photo. I would like to mount this mirror (40x30 cm) to the wall and the nail or the mounted place should be hiden by the mirror. Can you please advise how to do this? Thanks a lot!

I suggest removing the screw first and pushing the wall plug deeper into the wall. If it does not go deeper, you'll need to drill deeper into the wall so that the wall plug goes all the way in. Once the wall plug is fully sunk in, I recommend putting the screw back in and going deeper all the way almost to the wall. Leave a bit of the screw head out, this will serve as the mount for the mirrors wall hook. As it is now the screw is too far out of the wall and the mirror will not hang properly. I've placed a sample image below to give you an idea of how the screw is supposed to be positioned.

Thank you for sharing your question about hanging your mirror. One way to hang your mirror is to use either one of the existing screws that's already installed in your wall. I suggest turning the screw so that it goes deeper into the wall with just the head ever so slightly above the wall. The jagged teeth of the mirrors wall hook will clip on to the body of the screw, and the screw head will prevent it from slipping forward.

In regard to the other screw, it will need to be removed, and the hole filled in with a filler. I don't see a need to drill a new hole in your wall unless either location is not ideal for your mirror.
