The project:
I found these retro lounge chairs with the vinyl in good condition though not in an appealing colour. The shape reminded me of art deco vibes so I let that be the inspiration for the colours I chose. I gave them a good scrub and then painted with the Dulux range of chalk paint. I wasn't sure how the paint would go on vinyl but it worked great! i then went over this with a wax to seal and add durability. a bit of upholstery on the back and a black cover over the seat cushions finished this project. They sit pride of place in my sitting room and are very comfy.
- Materials:
I used Dulux Chalk paint in colours Stretchy and Luca Green. I then went over this in Gillys Carnauba Polish to give a durable finish.
- Tools:
Paint brush. microfibre cloth
- Step 1:
Give the material a good scrub
- Step 2:
Paint on 2 layers of dulux chalk paint in your chosen colour. Let dry between each layer
- Step 3:
brush and buff on the Gillys carnauba polish to seal the paint
