The project:
Thought I'd give our hallway a little glow-up! Here's how I turned our old wobbly hallway table into a floating table with wall panelling.
Removed the old table and brackets from the wall.
Filled all the old holes and gave everything a quick sand.
Painted the wall with Taubmans, starting by cutting in around all the edges before rolling the rest of the wall.
Measured out where I wanted the panels to sit and marked it all up with a level.
Added Liquid Nails to the back of each panel and stuck them straight onto the wall.
Cut and attached the trim pieces to finish off the panelling.
Built a simple support frame for the floating table and secured it to the wall.
Attached the tabletop and checked everything was level.
Filled any gaps, caulked the joins and gave it all a final coat of paint.
Added some décor and stood back to admire my handiwork! 😍
Such a simple project but it completely changed the look of the hallway without spending a fortune... especially as I found these wall panels on clearance for $15 p/pack at Bunnings and I only needed 2 packs for this project
