Hi. Looking for advice. What would be a good crimping tool or similar to use with these ‘clamps’? They come with the ‘Jack’ brand gabion cages available at Bunnings, so used to clamp the mesh together. I have been using pliers and the result is not ideal (and takes a while). Thanks

If I recall correctly the tool you need to use is called a J-clip tool also known as a wire mesh clip tool. The closest thing the store carries is the https://www.bunnings.com.au/jack-aviary-clip-pliers-with-20-clips_p3040886 . There are heavy duty versions of the tool, but the store does not stock them. The new Jack Gabion cages now use spiral locking wire. It's an excellent alternative to the clips.
