I need to attach a silicone LED strip light channel to a piece of timber. Could you suggest a suitable adhesive for this task please. I know there are clips that can be used but for this task I can’t use them and need to use an adhesive.

https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-320g-liquid-nails-construction-adhesive_p1233751 is my go-to general purpose construction adhesive. It will be perfect for this situation.
Just run a bead the full length of the strip, then press it in place and clamp it to the timber while the adhesive cures. Make sure to wipe away any adhesive that squeezes out, as it can look a bit unsightly and is very difficult to remove once it has dried.
Depending on the scenario, you can likely use a couple of clamps, alongside a scrap piece of timber to ensure there is even pressure applied along the length of the strip. Alternatively, some painter's tape can be handy for holding things in place while the glue cures if clamps aren't an option.
I'd give it atleast an hour, preferably more, before removing the tape or clamps.

hi @JacobZ I gave the liquid nails a try but it didn’t work. It stuck well to the timber but didn’t adhere at all to the silicone. I need something that will stick the silicone strip to the timber.
My apologies, I was not aware that Liquid Nails would struggle with this application.
I've done some research and found that a silicone-based adhesive will much more reliably stick to silicone. So, I'd suggest using something like this https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-480g-white-3-in-1-silicone-sealant_p1230061 .
I'd also suggest roughing up the back of the LED strip using a bit of https://www.bunnings.com.au/flexovit-115mm-x-1m-120-grit-timber-sandpaper-roll_p1210540 just to help the silicone key into the back of the LED strip.

I was looking at sikaflex but that silicone sealant/adhesive is probably very similar?

My first thought after reading your comment was Sikaflex 11FC Purform, but it is a polyurethane adhesive, and I read that silicone adhesives would be best with silicone which is why I didn't suggest it.
From what I have read, silicone definitely seems like the best way to go.
