The project:
Sunken deck with fire pit. The perfect place to relax after a hard-working week or for when you have friends and family over. Built using Merbau decking and LED lights to set the mood.

- Step 1:
Mark out the area for where needs to be dug.
- Step 2:
Dig out massive hole and retain.
- Step 3:
Build frame for seating area.
- Step 4:
Build frame for stairs.
- Step 5:
Add Merbau decking to the seats and have an electrician come in and wire up LED strip lights under the seats and steps.
- Step 6:
Build floor frame and pour fire pit concrete slab.
- Step 7:
Finish decking and let the tannins wash out of the Merbau.
- Step 8:
Oil the deck once it has dried and sit back, relax and enjoy your entertaining area.
