I have a deck that is 250mm above ground what is the maximum size of the step tread i can have as depth & width as it will be 60mm heigh

If I'm understanding your question correctly, I think you're asking how deep you can make the tread while still having the step feel natural and comfortable to use.
For a typical step, you'd generally be looking at a rise (height) of around 150–175mm and a going (depth) of around 280–350mm. These proportions tend to feel quite natural when walking up and down.
There isn't really a practical maximum on the going (depth), though. Once you make it substantially deeper than a normal tread, it simply starts behaving more like a broad step or small landing. You could make it 500mm, 600mm or considerably more if that suits the space.
The main thing I'd consider is how it feels to walk. If you're going substantially deeper than a normal tread, I'd make it deep enough that you can comfortably step onto it, take another natural step and then step up onto the deck, rather than creating an awkward distance that interrupts your stride.
For width, 900mm is a comfortable minimum width for one person, while 1000–1200mm+ tends to feel a bit more generous for a deck entrance. So, anything above 900mm should be fine.

Jason thanks to clear it up I was wanting to make it 360mm deep by 1m wide by 60mm high is was the 360mm depth i wish to confirm will be acceptable
I can't see any issue with that at all.
It sounds like it would be a nice comfortable step.
