There are certainly plenty of reputable plumbing brands available, including Methven, Dorf, Mondella, Estilo, Caroma and Clark, among others.
That being said, it is often worth speaking with your plumber before purchasing anything. Plumbers will generally prefer to know exactly what products they will be installing and can make sure they are compatible with your existing plumbing and suitable for the installation.
Manufacturers will all have different warranty periods which can be found reasonably easily using a quick Google search. Methven for example offers a 20-year warranty on parts and labour for their tapware products. Information on their warranty can be found on their website here. Similarly, other brands will have information about their warranty that can be found with a quick Google search.
I'd suggest having a chat with your plumber about what you are looking for and your budget, then seeing what products or brands they recommend for your particular installation. You can certainly purchase it, but it is often best to confirm they are happy to work with that product prior to purchase.
As to getting things done in the same visit, it would be worth contacting some plumbers to quote on the job. I am sure they'd be happy to attend your home, check things out, give recommendations and then give you a quote for the work.

hi, thks for the detailed reply. Just a vouple of questions with regards to buying a l ref tap. I’ve perused the links and would like yo know what the 40mm and 35mm stand give in any of pixs available on Bunnings website. Does this number indicate the diameter of the base of tap? And if that be the case can one measure that with a measure tape? And as indicated in the pix, I am looking at a spout that is not too short as the current spout measures are 24-25cms in length. I would prefer that length as water flows straight into the hole in the sink. Haven’t decided on a plumber as yet, until I know I can get the right product. I have seen two items from the list of popular manufacturers sent and will forward those pixs to you to check if they will be the right fit for my sink. Thks once again
The 35mm or 40mm measurement you're seeing will typically refer to the size of the ceramic cartridge inside the mixer, rather than the exact diameter of the base of the tap. It doesn't necessarily determine whether the mixer will fit your sink. Most sink cutouts will accept both a 35mm and a 40mm mixer.
For the spout, the measurement you'll want to look for is generally referred to as the spout reach. This is the horizontal distance from the centre of the mixer body to where the water exits the spout. If your existing mixer has a reach of around 240–250mm and that positions the water nicely over the sink, I'd be looking for something with a similar reach.
The spout on the https://www.bunnings.com.au/mondella-cadenza-40mm-chrome-sink-mixer_p0670065 is only 190mm long, so a bit short on what you're looking for. The closest I can find to your 24-25cm would be the https://www.bunnings.com.au/stylus-chrome-venecia-sink-mixer-4star-lead-free_p0741928 with a 22cm spout.

Is the stylus brand a popular brand and us it a new player that has come on the market as I’ve not heard the name before. Who manufactures this product? What about the Caroma Chrome Lead Free Elegance Sink Mixer, is this a good buy. How do I check the warranty on these sink mixer taps?

Stylus is certainly not a new brand. It is an established Australian brand and is part of the same broader group as Caroma.
The Caroma Chrome Lead Free Elegance Sink Mixer would also be a good option.
Warranty periods vary between products and components, so I’d recommend checking the warranty information listed for the specific mixer you’re considering.
For example, the Stylus warranty currently provides 10 years replacement product or parts cover on mixers, with one year labour and separate conditions for finishes and some components.
The Caroma Elegance mixer is listed with a 20-year replacement product warranty, with shorter warranty periods applying to some components, labour and finishes.
It’s also important to keep your receipt and have the mixer installed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.
