Outdoor table setting revitalised

The project:

My mimosa outdoor table setting was looking very weathered and was in desperate need of a refresh.

- Materials:

Sandpaper

Stain

Brushes

- Tools:

Belt sander

Orbital sander

Hex key

- Step 1:

Tighten all the screws on the table legs and chairs, you'd be surprised how loose they get over time.

- Step 2:

Sand the table and chairs. I started with the belt sander before moving to the orbital sander and then finished off with a fine sanding block.

- Step 3:

Remove all the dust and apply your stain of choice. Allow to dry and repeat if required.

What a great refresh. The timber has come up beautifully, and it’s amazing what a thorough sand and a fresh coat of stain can do for a weathered outdoor setting. Tightening all the fixings while you were at it was a great tip too.
