hi brains trust,
This tap has been the bain of my existence. First it would wobble all over the place and then now it’s started dripping (no wobbling now I got the right tool to tighten underneath).
Any help appreciated please.
Hi @HD,
It’s good to hear you’ve managed to sort out the wobbling issue.
Unfortunately, addressing the dripping is a little more involved. Unlike a traditional tap where a leaking washer can be replaced relatively easily, a mixer tap typically uses an internal cartridge. Replacing this requires the mixer to be dismantled and the water supply isolated.
As this is considered plumbing work, you’ll need to have a licensed plumber inspect the tap and replace the cartridge or mixer as required. They’ll also be able to determine whether replacing the cartridge is worthwhile or if replacing the complete mixer would be the better option.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
