What adhesive for attaching timber parquetry tiles to concrete slab?

I have some parquetry (7 finger brushbox) tiles that have become detached due to water damage after a leak. These are still in good condition and I now want to reattach them. What is the best adhesive for this? Small area only. Thanks for any advice.

Could you let us know what the parquetry tiles are made from? It sounds like they are timber parquetry, but I just want to check that they are not ceramic/stone tile laid in a parquetry-style? A photo would be helpful if you're unsure.

Regardless of the material, the first step will be to thoroughly clean up both the back of the loose tile and the substrate underneath it. Any old adhesive that is loose, lumpy or preventing the tile from sitting flat should be removed so the new adhesive can make good contact with both surfaces. This can usually be done relatively easily using a scraper and some light sanding, just ensure you wear a mask and eye protection when doing so.

If they are timber parquetry, you'll want to use a timber flooring adhesive suitable for bonding timber directly to concrete. Bostik Ultraset SF Pro, Selleys Direct Stick or SikaBond-T55 (J) are all appropriate options. You should apply your chosen adhesive to the concrete using a v-notch trowel and press the flooring in place, ensuring the notches compress and the adhesive suctions to the back of the flooring.

If they are ceramic or stone tiles, you would use a suitable tile adhesive that's rated for bonding the particular tile material to concrete, using an appropriately sized notched trowel.
