The project:
I needed to turn my ugly courtyard into a cattery for my two girls. All made by myself with lots of advice from my local Bunnings team. Pretty happy with the results.
- Materials:
Cedar pickets, bluestone pavers and marine-grade carpet for the scratching post and to cover the ledges, netting and 70 x 35 structural Pine for planter frames and to arachnids the netting to the wall.
- Tools:
Ozito drill and driver, mitre box, Ryobi circular saw and jigsaw.
- Step 1:
Fixed the drooping fence and added fence toppers.
Painted the fence, masonary wall and house walls to match, installed battens around the perimeter to attach the netting to keep them safe.
Built the planter frames then lined with Cedar pickets.
Cemented in the bluestone pavers and filled the gaps with soil with the intention of growing baby tears between them.
There's a built-in hidden kitty litter box and some climbing ledges.
