Looking to replace the air vents to something a bit more sturdy and modern. Any suggestions. Also, where would I need measure it to get the correct measuments? Should I just measure the hole in the wall?
Cheers

Hello @JonnyH
Thank you for sharing that picture of your wall vent. Wall vents have two sizes and that is the outside measurement and the interior cut out measurement where the vents interior body actually settles into the wall. But this is not always the case, and some interior measurements are just small plastic guides or clips that help the vent stay in position.
I propose measuring the outside of the vent, then turning it around and measuring the interior guide of the vent. Another thing you can measure is the size of the cut out which will also be helpful as a guide. The best thing you can do is to bring your vent to the store and compare it to the ones available on the shelves.
There are a number of choices available from steel, plastic and aluminium. I suggest visiting the store and see which one suits your needs.
