Hi all, I’m assembling a Matador Ignite 6 Burner BBQ and have run into an issue at Step 18, where the instructions say to pass the halogen lamp cable connector through the hole in the middle baffle and connect it to the power adaptor.
I’ve followed the assembly instructions, but the power-adaptor connector is located at the far left-hand side of the middle baffle, while the halogen lamp cable exits from around the centre/right-hand side of the firebox. The lamp cable is nowhere near long enough to reach the adaptor without putting significant tension on the factory-installed wiring.
I’ve checked underneath the firebox and the lamp wiring appears to be factory routed and secured, with no obvious additional slack. I therefore don't want to pull on it, cut cable ties or reroute the factory wiring.
I’ve seen other Bunnings Workshop discussions mentioning a Matador 12V extension cable (part GB1020) being supplied where Ignite electrical leads are too short, although I'm not sure whether that applies specifically to the 6 Burner model or this particular halogen lamp connection.
Has anyone encountered this on the Ignite 6 Burner? Is there a routing step I’m missing, or is an extension cable required? If GB1020 is the correct solution, can anyone confirm that it is compatible with the lamp-to-power-adaptor connectors?
Cheers
