We have a big bed of these pennywort weeds likely interconnected. We do want to grow some plants in this area after, so not sure if we should apply strong chemicals that could damage the soil. At the same time, getting them out by hand seems like an inefficient exercise. I'm a beginner here, so if someone could please help with step-by-step instructions including what tools I would need, that would be helpful. I've only just started doing a bit of "gardening" and so far have focused on de-weeding, pruning, and readjusting the mulch layers in our garden bed. The tools I have with me so far from Bunnings are (thanks to Ellie @ Bunnings Moorabbin who is amazing):
- Hand weeder
- Metal rake
- Pruner
- Metal fork
- Weed scraper (for cracks in the patio)
