How to install paver edging?

Hi. Im wanting to edge my yard with pavers. I've tried using concrete on compacted road base but it doesn't stick. What should the preparation be and what do I need to make the pavers stick to the concrete. Picture 2 with the paver edging is the outcome id want.

No, there is no need to leave a 3mm gap. My best advice is to make sure that the base is flat and level so that pavers will be level as well.

Thanks Eric. I will give this a try. With using the glue, I will not need to leave a 3mm space in between each?

It's an excellent discussion of how to install paver edging. I also recommend looking at this guide - How To Lay Pavers.

The basic technique is to dig a channel to serve as a base for the pavers. If you wish, the pavers can be glued together end to end using Selleys 415g Liquid Nails Landscape Stone Concrete Adhesive for an even stronger finish.
