Pergola entrance and potted garden

The project:

garden needed alot of work, was overgrown and lacked character. so decided to go with a potted garden as i feel there is less maintenance. built the pergola to fill this space that was extended beyond the rest of the bed. very happy how its turned out.

- Materials:

2 timber posts 90x90

trellis 900x1800

90x35 pine 2@4.8

90x18 pine 70mtrs

tomber stakes

cabotts merbeau stain

mulch

Terracotta pots

plants

- Tools:

Drill

Circular saw

measuring tape

impact driver

- Step 1:

rough design first

remove existing plants

mark out position of footings for pergola

dig holes, fill with concrete, set in base brackets for posts.

cut all timbers to size

erect posts and level

build upper fram and attach

fix cross pieces to attach trellis

build box edging and tie down with stakes

spread out mulch

place pots to get an idea, then plants
